Grading
Grades will be made compiled in the following areas:​
Homework- 25%
Quizzes/Test- 55%
i-Ready- 10%
AR-10%
 
LATE WORK:​
Practice work is accepted late for 50% off. Assessment work is accepted for 10% off per day late, up to 3 days.​
​
EXTRA CREDIT:​
Students may receive a maximum of 5 extra credit points per quarter. Different extra credit opportunities may be offered throughout the year.​

Be prepared​
- 
Come to class with everything you need & be ready to learn. ​ 
- 
Cell phones/electronic devices must be put away during the duration of class.​ 
- 
Quietly enter class each day & start on bell-ringer work.​ 
Be respectful​
- 
Treat others the way you want to be treated.​ 
- 
Be a good listener & don’t interrupt others.​ 
- 
If it does not belong to you, leave it alone.​ 
- 
Do not use derogatory language.​ 
Be positive​
- 
See the good in every situation.​ 
- 
Be an encouragement to others & support their ideas.​ 
- 
Never say, “I can’t!”​ 
Be a hard worker​

Put forth your best effort everyday.​

Don’t be scared of hard things.​

Consequences
The following (in no particular order) will result in not following the expectations/procedures. I reserve the right to bypass these consequences depending on the severity of the infraction. ​

1. Verbal warning​
2. Late to lunch​
3. Call home to parent/guardian​
4. Minor discipline referral ​
5. Major discipline referral and report to Discipline Committee​
6. Student will be sent to principal.​
7. Three minor DRs from any teacher will result in a major discipline referral.
Academic Dishonesty
Academic dishonesty will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances. Cheating, copying, or plagiarism of any form will result in failure of the assignment, a major discipline referral, and parent contact. ​
